Critic is a product of Casting Stats LLC (formerly BlueQuincy LLC).

Casting Stats LLC was previously registered as BlueQuincy LLC. This is the same legal entity; the company was renamed and the EIN remains associated with the original registration.

SMS messages are sent by Critic, a product of Casting Stats LLC (formerly BlueQuincy LLC).

What messages we send

Critic, a product of Casting Stats LLC (formerly BlueQuincy LLC), sends transactional SMS text messages only. Users may receive messages when:

These are transactional messages related to in-app activity. Critic does not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages via SMS.

How users opt in

SMS consent is collected through two surfaces. Both use an unchecked consent checkbox paired with explicit, verbatim consent language. Consent is optional and is not a condition of using Critic.

1. Onboarding consent step

After verifying their phone number, users are shown a dedicated SMS consent screen. The screen displays an unchecked checkbox next to the following verbatim consent text:

“I agree to receive transactional SMS text messages from Critic, a product of Casting Stats LLC (formerly BlueQuincy LLC), about recommendations, sparks, and account activity. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”

Below the checkbox: “Consent is not a condition of using Critic and is separate from our Terms and Privacy Policy. Your mobile number and consent status will not be shared with third parties for marketing.”

Two buttons: “Opt in” (disabled until the checkbox is checked) or “Skip”

The checkbox is never pre-checked. The user must explicitly check the box and click “Opt in” to opt in. Clicking “Skip” records a decline. Users who skip or decline can continue using Critic normally.

2. Profile settings

Users can also manage SMS consent in their profile settings. When a phone number is entered, an unchecked consent checkbox appears with the following verbatim text:

“I agree to receive transactional SMS text messages from Critic, a product of Casting Stats LLC (formerly BlueQuincy LLC), about recommendations, sparks, and account activity. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”

Below: “Consent is not a condition of using Critic and is separate from our Terms and Privacy Policy.”

The checkbox is never pre-checked. The user must explicitly check the box and save to opt in.
